ABOUT THIS MINISTRY

Agape Worship Center of the Fields was birthed under the leadership of Rudolph Coleman Jr. in the home of Randolph and Vertie Reid. Agape continued under the leadership of Pastor Rudy Coleman until July, 2005. March, 2006, Rev. Keith Walcott became the new Pastor, and Pastor Thomas Parker assisted Rev. Keith Walcott until June 2007. Thereafter, with the assistant of Pastor Keith Walcott's wife Junie Walcott, who is now co-pastor, the ministry is continuously thriving.

WHAT ARE THEY SAYING

God's Divine Love
Mother Reid is truly a remarkable woman of God. God had to choose her for such a time a this. Many of our children is dying without hope and if it had not been Vertie Reid than who. Thank you God for using Mother to care for all of God's little Angels.

"What are they Saying"...
Jesus questioned His disciple's, saying who do men say that I am.
He was concerned enough to ask what was people saying, therefore I am curious to know what others are saying also.
Jesus life has an effect on the whole world and it is seen throughout the scriptures; I pray that my life is having an effect in the lives of a few, and I trust that it will be seen in the pages of this book.

"DEATHA WROTE" What makes a Mom a Mom? Is it because she bore you? Birthed you? Nursed you? Carried you in her womb?...

It is the love that she gives, the way she lives before us....The care in her eyes and the tenderness in her voice...

It is the unselfish love and need to love...her pure heart when she rebukes and the purity in her embrace... Not just what she gives but how she gives it... All was bad... All was lost... All seemed over... Then her loving voice spoke tenderly to me... All will be well... Yes, that's a mom...

I came not from her womb but there is a cord that attaches us together that stronger than the one cut at birth... It is the undying, everlasting, enduring, unfailing, unquenchable, cord of love... to Momma Reid...poem exclusively and originally for you.

"LISA WROTE" Mother was the glue to the faithful few, that kept us together while we were going through.
Confusion was in the atmosphere. Tomorrow we could not see-but through that lovely smile-We knew that God had a job for His child.

Prayers were going forth, Dinners were being served, seniors were being Blessed while Mother were being put to the test.

But oh how we were blessed through your faithfulness.
We watched as you hemmed curtians, vacuum floors, and we were always so happy to see you walk thru that door.

Irreplaceable, phenomenal, virtuous yes you are- In our eyes mother you will always be a star---- Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies.

Vertie is so grateful that God used her in the ministry of caring for

the children who had special needs. She can hardly believe that He

used her in the ministry of doing something that she enjoyed and

then He allowed her to write a book about her experiences. She

often laughs with her friends and family, saying that "I didn't even

get a high school diploma, and now I am an Author."

ERICKA''S POEM ABOUT LIFE

Sitting here looking out the window of life, looking back at all the pain and strife, I had to endure
to make me, who I am now, and oftentimes I had to ask myself how.

How did I endure being a child of drugs? How did I endure being a child without hugs? How did I survive moving from place to place? How did I endure being just another a DYFS case.

A child of the system, there's so much I've been through. A child of the system, if you only knew what it's like to have a family you know nothing about.

It made me so mad that I just wanted to shout, but instead, I didn't; I just kept it to myself, trying not to dump my pain on anyone else.

Then God sent me an angel from Heaven above, a special angel to show me all kinds of love, an angel that I could tell my true feeling to.And she made me believe when she said,"Jesus loves you."

Without her and God I don't know what I would do.Dealing with all the pain and sorrow that I went through, but I kept in God's Word and prayed perpetually too.

And He showed me another side than bad; He said,"Trust in me child and you'll never be sad."
